Hello blog! Wasn't I supposed to write about Egyptian adventures oooh...sometime in September? Yes, well, now it is 2010 Blog and it seems I have failed at keeping you alive. I feel like this blog is directionless. Perhaps it is I who is directionless. These days I feel like I have hit a wall. I'm so unsure of what I want, where to go, and so I just stay put. I'm at a crossroads, only with numerous different paths upon which to travel. They all seem enticing and yet terrifying. I should feel so lucky and bound gleefully upon one of them, but I am afraid. Afraid of making mistakes, afraid of disappointing myself (yet again!), afraid of the unknown.
Perhaps I will follow this up someday soon!

Proteinacious/Proteinaceous
My favorite word has been usurped today. www.proteinaceous.blogspot.com has entered the world of blogging. Of course he had the audacity to spell it right! Well, it can be spelled both ways but with an e seems more accepted scientifically.
I have totally ignored this blog due to the fact that I went back to Qatar from September-June and it was awfully uninspiring. Tomorrow I will create a post about one of my trips. I will start with Egypt!
Hopefully you'll see me again fair blog.

Photoshop Technique #1
Yesterday, using my recently purchased The Adobe Photoshop cs3 book for digital photographers by Scott Kelby, I learned a trick known as double processing. I never knew it was possible to capture what the eye can capture but Mr. Kelby and the folks at Adobe have made it possible! Hoorah! Check out the two photos below:

LOVE
There are a lot of pouty faces around me today.
There is too much hating and too much fighting.
We find ourselves in sticky predicaments more often than not. It can be upsetting.
Personally, I find it's all a little bit exhausting.
I've come to the conclusion that was the World needs is a little more...

Blogging
My sister has recently involved herself in the world of photography. She is extremely talented and, as usual, she has inspired me to try my hand at improving my skills at a hobby that I already enjoy so much. Photography is a way that can safely express myself and share my experiences with those who are so far away from me. This also gives me an excuse to wander around the Globe aimlessly taking pictures of everything!
I thought it would be fitting to end this post with a self portrait that I am quite proud of. Mostly, it makes me giggle with delight.
